The government announces the purchase of grain from farmers. The “deceived village” does not believe in these promises

On Saturday evening, a ban on imports of agricultural products from Ukraine was introduced. The restrictions will remain in effect until June 30. The list includes grain, sugar, dried fodder, seeds or milk and milk products, hops, poultry meat.

– Whether this ban will work, we will see on Monday. As far as I know, a workaround has already been found. This lockpick is grain imported under the name of “mill cloth”. Already now, “cleaning” is 30 percent. imports from Ukraine – says Wiesław Gryń, vice-president of the “Oszukana Wieś” Association and the Zamość Agricultural Society.

The government also announces a package of named protection laws shield for Polish farmers. As part of it, it proposes the common purchase of grain stored in silos and warehouses for a minimum price of PLN 1,400 per ton, as well as maintaining subsidies for fertilizers. In addition, the Prime Minister announced an increase in the agricultural fuel subsidy to the level of PLN 2 per liter of diesel oil.

– We have specific solutions for the Polish countryside, which we will introduce. There are still many laws that we have prepared – promises Robert Telus, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development.

– We do not know the details of this shield, i.e. who and when will buy grain. The price of PLN 1,400 per ton is attractive, admits Wiesław Gryń. – If today farmers would go to purchases to sell grain, there are no such warehouses in the country to accommodate the delivered grain. Let’s wait a week for the details of the “shield”, because we do not believe in these promises – added Wiesław Gryń.

Let us remind you that until April 19, Agrounia blocks the PKP LHS terminal in Hrubieszów.
