The fog in Lenzerheide also made the super-G impossible, Kriechmayr has a globe

Lenzerheide (Switzerland) – The weather did not allow today’s super-giant slaloms for men and women to go to the final of the World Cup in Lenzerheide. After the cancellation of the final race, the Austrian Vincent Kriechmayr won a small crystal globe for the evaluation of the discipline. It has already been decided among the women that a certain home star, Lara Gutová-Behrami, has had the trophy since the end of February. Ester Ledecká remained fifth.

Today’s program in Switzerland has been complicated since the morning by fog and more snow on the track. The organizers have already reduced the start in advance and postponed the start of the women’s race from 9:30 to 11:00. Even then, however, it was not possible to make a super-G due to poor visibility and condition of the track.

After the cancellation of the final race, Kriechmayr won the event by 83 points ahead of the home team’s Marc Odermatt. Gut-Behrami already had an unrivaled lead of 202 points over Federico Brignone from Italy.

Ledecká lost 36 points to fourth place Austrian Tamara Tippler in fourth place, 74 points separated from third Corinne Suter and 87 points from second Brignone. But she didn’t get a chance to improve her position.

Ledecká and other speed specialists lost Wednesday’s downhill in Lenzerheide due to bad weather. The cancellation of the super-G was recorded in the fight for a large crystal globe by the ongoing Alexis Pinturault from France and the Slovak Petra Vlhová, who are specialists in technical disciplines. Pinturault leads two races before the end by 31 points over Odermatt, Vlhová has a lead of 96 points over Gut-Behrami.
