The first 57 buyers have received the new luxury ‘Range Rover’ in Latvia

Only half a year has passed since the world premiere at the Royal Covent Garden Opera in London, but the first new generations are already taking to the streets of Latvia “Range Rover“luxury off – road cars. Baltic buyers, who had ordered the car in the equipment they liked, in most cases chose the highest level of equipment.

“This is the most technically advanced”Land Rover“The model that has ever been created and many luxury lovers – both existing customers and potential buyers – have been eagerly awaiting it. Interest in this model is growing across the Baltics, with orders at least twice as high as expected. A similar trend can be seen elsewhere,” says Juste. Jaruše, business manager of the Jaguar Land Rover Group in the Baltics, added that 57 buyers have bought the new luxury area in Latvia alone.

Selects the highest level of equipment

More than two thirds or 72 percent of customers in the Baltics have chosen the richest set “Autobiography”. Meanwhile, some of the fifth-generation Range Rover, which will reach our region this year, is proudly decorated with the “SV” emblem. It states that the purchaser has equipped the car according to individual preferences, that is to say, that the car in question is an exclusive Range Rover model.

These SV versions are developed by the Special Vehicle Operations (SVO) division and feature many handmade parts. The Range Rover has been in production for five decades and has established itself in the luxury world.

Technological progress is one of the highlights of the new model. The company’s state-of-the-art plant at the legendary Solihula plant in England builds the car on Land Rover’s new flexible, modular and longitudinal architecture. It allows the use of all drive systems, from internal combustion and hybrid engines to fully electric models (expected to debut in 2024), and includes the best control systems to date.

Land Rover’s innovative suspension management controls an amazing number of chassis technologies, so the driver can not worry about a bad road and enjoy the highest level of safety. The all-wheel steering system provides greater stability, both at high speeds and when maneuvering slowly in tight spaces, while the state-of-the-art electronically controlled air suspension, which receives and analyzes data from eHorizon navigation, warns of road conditions.

New generation technologies

Significant technological progress is also felt in the cabin, even before the car starts driving. The PiVi Pro infotainment system in the new Range Rover features the largest curved 13.1-inch touch screen to date. Two eSIM cards integrated into the state-of-the-art system allow you to update software much faster without slowing down the data transfer rates available to other applications.

The new Range Rover uses modern lighting technology. Powerful digital LED lights illuminate the road up to 500 meters away. The adaptive headlight system incorporates dynamic beam projection to help optimize the beam, shape it and fine-tune it to the driving conditions – speed, environment and traffic.

This Range Rover can also be operated from the outside. After activating the remote parking assistant, all that remains in the PiVi Pro system is to indicate which of the available parking spaces you need to enter. The car itself determines that the space is so narrow that it can only be entered with the help of a remote control assistant: in this case, the driver simply gets out of the car and completes the maneuver using the app.

Ultra-broadband transmitters also take care of the security of luxury SUVs – they protect against key signal copiers used by thieves. Jaguar Land Rover is one of the first manufacturers to introduce this innovative protection that meets the world’s highest safety standards.

Durability – not just in the engine area

The modern platform allows the installation of various engines, and 70 of the first 170 new Range Rover models will arrive in the Baltics with a V8 petrol engine. We will soon see the first rechargeable hybrid on the roads of our region, which can cover up to 100 km in electric mode (according to WLTP). This means that CO2 emissions are less than 30 g / km.

In addition, sustainability in car production is not limited to environmentally friendly engines. Innovative materials and processes have also reduced the environmental impact of Range Rover production. This is reflected, for example, in the new “Kvadrat” wool blend fabric, which the manufacturer offers as an alternative to interior leather upholstery. This fabric is combined with “Ultrafabrics” material, which resembles the skin to the touch, but is 30 percent lighter and emits 75 percent less CO2.

The new “Range Rover” in Latvia costs from 129,100 euros, but in the extended body version, at the level of “Autobiography” equipment and with a V8 engine – from 178 thousand euros.
