– We are working to get the boat aground and get passengers and cars ashore, says CEO Torkild Torkildsen in Torghatten Nord to NRK.
Operations Manager Mads Bernhoft in the Nordland police district tells NTB that the incident appears to be undramatic.
– In connection with the ferry docking, something happened that made it go towards the shore instead of the quay, he says.
Police are on the scene, but according to Bernhoft, the ferry did not need assistance.
– No injuries have been reported, he says.
All ferry departures have now been canceled until further notice as a result of the grounding, states Road traffic center north.
