PONOROGOKOMPAS.com– Head of the Public Peace and Order Division (Kabid) of the Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP) Ponogoro Subiantoro explained how the beggar from Jombang, East Java with the initials A was staying at a Kota hotel. Ponorogo.

This was discovered after officers found a hotel room key in A’s bag during an inspection.

“After we checked his identity and the contents of his bag, we found a hotel key. The identity of this beggar is from Jombang Regency, East Java,” said Subiantoro when contacted by Kompas.com, Monday (4/12/2023).

According to Subiantoro, the beggar had been living in a hotel in the middle of Ponorogo City for a week.

“So he came to Ponorogo by bus from Jombang. How many hotels did he have and dared to stay overnight and it was more than a week. The hotel (where he stayed) was in the middle of the city. So the hotel was not a trivial budget hotel,” said Subiantoro.

Every day, continued Subiantoro, the beggars act in Ponorogo City Square because of the many entertainment rides in that place.

A brought a cardboard box and it was written “Please provide financial assistance for people with disabilities and deaf children.”

Not only that, when asked for information, the beggar turned out to be mute. He chose to stay in a hotel because it was his first time begging in Ponorogo City.

Subiantoro suspects that from begging, the woman earned hundreds of thousands of rupiah. The reason is that staying in a hotel costs a lot of money.

Moreover, the hotel where the beggar lives is in the middle of Ponorogo City.

“And he has been staying here for a week,” explained Subiantoro.
