The Asturias Civil Guard is working on locating the man who chased the vice president of the Balearic Parliament, Gloria Santiago, masturbating while she was on the Camino de Santiago in Asturias.
As confirmed by the Civil Guard, the affected party has already denounced the events, with which the agents are now focusing on locating the suspect. The Armed Institute has explained that when the complaint is received, the criminal act is not cataloged, but rather steps are taken to investigate a possible criminal offense.
The events date back to the morning of this Friday, when the deputy was making a little-traveled section of the Camino de Santiago through the Asturian town of Navia. As explained by the victim herself, while she was doing a section of the Camino de Santiago alone, a man has pursued her while she masturbated, for which she has filed a complaint with the local Civil Guard.
Today, on a lonely section of the Camino de Santiago a guy chased me jerking off. 061 has scolded me for going alone. The problem is not me, it is the depraved fucking who was coming after. HIGHER DO I HAVE TO SAY IT? I am filing a complaint with the Civil Guard of Navia.

In addition, Santiago has criticized that since 061 they have “scolded” her for going alone. “I have not been more afraid in my life. I have run through muddy fields. It has already condemned me to look back every five minutes. That is the freedom that women have,” he concluded in one of his messages on Twitter.
Investigation of the person who attended you
The Asturian Government has opened an investigation into the response that it claims to have received from Gloria Santiago’s emergency telephone number after asking for help. Sources of the regional executive have indicated that an investigation is being carried out on the call to 061, a state emergency telephone that is referred to the autonomous communities -in the case of Asturias to 112- and will act according to the conclusions obtained .
After hearing the complaint made by the vice president of the Balearic Parliament, various political leaders have shown their support through social networks, including the president of the Principality, Adrián Barbón, who has shown his support and his desire that the Civil Guard manage to locate and arrest his aggressor.
“The Asturian people emphatically reject this and all sexist aggressions,” adds Barbón, while the Minister of Equality, Irene Montero, has indicated: “You can count on all of us. Zero tolerance for all sexist violence.” For her part, the Second Vice President and Minister of Labor and Social Economy, Yolanda Díaz, has warned: “No woman should feel that fear that you report walking alone.”
A hug, @gloriasantiagoc ???? No woman should feel that fear that you relate walking alone.
We must reverse these situations as a society and as a country: safe spaces free of violence and sexist harassment. https://t.co/WOfalRP11g
