The 34-year-old was on Saturday around 9:30 p.m. as a passenger with a minibus on the West Autobahn (A 1) in Oed-Öhling in the direction of Salzburg.
Because the Romanian complained about health problems, the driver stopped the station wagon in a breakdown bay just before the Oed junction. The passenger then got out and ran unexpectedly across the entire directional lane for the other car occupants.

He climbed over the middle guide wall made of concrete and continued on the directional lane in Vienna. A driver (33) could no longer prevent a collision with the drunk man, despite braking hard and evading. Any help came too late for the 34-year-old, who died at the scene of the accident.
