After two years, he was working on improving the cheapest model that Apple has to offer. The iPhone SE is again an interesting combination of price and peaks in workmanship and high performance, as is typical for Apple. This time, I don’t really have much money, because this year’s improved SEka is really very good: a new processor, 5G support, a bit of a battery. Otherwise, nothing has changed at all.
At the same time, we compared the novelty with the previous model from 2020, and we must immediately acknowledge that if we did not have them in a different color, then we do not know at all which we first hold in hand. The same design, display, camera and, of course, the system remain, as Apple updates to the latest and older models. So is the news worth attention at all?
Co ten star design?
In fact, we have some problems with the fact that in 2022 we are holding such a mobile phone in our hands. We claimed that two years ago, so we repeat again: the iPhone SE is a complete smartphone in terms of appearance. Even among the cheapest androids, you will find an effort to spread the screen over the largest possible desktop. Even the cheapest characters can afford to fit smartphones at least with the display. iPhone SE doesn’t matter.
The phone has a five-year-old design (identical to the iPhone 8 model) with wide frames above and below the display and even a capacitive button below it, in which there is also a flowing fingerprint. And it should be noted that in 2017, the first Apple with the X model made a revolution in the design of its models, only with the cheapest smartphone on offer, in short, don’t worry. Will he take the lengths of the same, a little hardware tuning for years and what else would we want for those pensions?
Paradoxically, you have to admit that the design of the cheapest iPhone works quite well this time as well. This model gives me a nostalgic and adorable little mobile phone. Together with the sibling with the mini brand, this is basically the last model that is a real crumb among the current production.

It is possible to argue that people who have long been on such a small mobile phone will get what they want. The truth is that today, everything with a display below about 5.5 inches is considered a truly miniature smartphone.

On the one hand, it plays according to the high power of the cards, and the result is a fineness of over 300 pixels per inch, but to praise it really isn’t. You won’t even find a fast refresh rate here, otherwise the panel is of the IPS Retina type.
Is it really the most powerful iPhone?
Tm. Apple has equipped the novelty with the most modern chip that it currently makes for smartphones, namely the Apple A15 Bionic. Along with the fact that this processor moves the otherwise relatively controversial hardware (especially due to the low resolution of the display), the novelty may seem like a tactical advantage. The truth is that according to the Geekbench performance test, the iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models (1700 points single core, 4,650 multi core) will easily outperform the SEko (1700 points single core, 4000 multi core).

The rest of the equipment is basically a toton with what we find on any other iPhone. The phone is firmly rooted in its own ecosystem of features and applications, as do all other models with the latest iOS 15. This, of course, in the details of a small display without a driver, such as a speed dial, is revealed from the bottom of the screen, not from the top right. corner, as the siblings have.
Then there is of course the fingerprint Touch ID instead of the recognizable area Face ID. On the one hand, this is such a retro business for Apple, on the other hand, the competition uses a fingerprint still as the main form of security, also in the context of the entire market, it is still a very common thing. It works great, but there’s nothing to add.

When we talk about a cheap iPhone in a review, it is of course in the context of Apple’s very expensive offerings. Compared to its predecessor, the novelty has become a bit cheaper, it will sell for 12,490 in the stock 64GB version. Buy the 128GB variant for CZK 13,990, the highest surcharge is for the 256GB version, which costs CZK 16,990.
If such a phone were offered by android competition: five-year-old design, the only camera on the walls, the battery had a battery and a display with low HD resolution, we probably wouldn’t even bother with such a model. Only at Apple is all this justified by the absolutely excellent support of the software, unrivaled performance, quality workmanship and thus the fact that it is perhaps the only manufacturer who has not forgotten about compact models.
The verdict on the new iPhone is difficult anyway. If you own any model from iPhone 8 and dl, according to us, it doesn’t make much sense to consider this version. The only exception is that you might need the support of 5G for life, which makes the bag in the hair.
It is something else if it is not bad for your phone’s operating system and you simply need a really small phone. In this case, the iPhone SE appears to be a very good choice, as it is still noticeably cheaper than the mini variants from Apple’s main products. Along with this, the new bag will serve as a great entry drug into the world of Apple: it will show you practically everything the current owner of these phones manages to do.
