The changeable March weather: rain, wind and snow?!

The Department of Meteorology at the Directorate General of Civil Aviation expected that the weather tomorrow will be cloudy with an additional drop in temperature and sporadic rains that are heavy at times and are accompanied by lightning, thunder and active winds during the pre-noon period, especially in the southern and interior regions, as snow falls at a height 1700 meters, in the afternoon it becomes partly cloudy with wide gaps, provided that the rain gradually recedes during the night.

The following bulletin was stated:

– The general situation: Lebanon and the eastern basin of the Mediterranean are affected by an air depression centered over Cyprus, which leads to volatile and rainy weather until Wednesday evening, when the weather gradually recedes and stabilizes, and is expected to return to volatile as of Friday evening.

The average temperature for the month of March ranges from 13 to 21.7 degrees.

– The expected weather in Lebanon:

Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with a noticeable decrease in temperatures, which become below their seasonal averages, and thick fog forms on the heights, with which visibility worsens at times. Scattered rains fall, sometimes intensifying, especially in the early afternoon, and are accompanied by lightning, thunder, and active winds, which sometimes intensify to approach 60 km / h, falling. Snow starting from a height of 2000 meters, and the level of precipitation decreases at night with low temperatures, so it touches 1800 meters.

Wednesday: Cloudy with an additional decrease in temperature and sporadic rains that are heavy at times and are accompanied by lightning, thunder and active winds during the pre-noon period, especially in the southern and internal regions, as snow falls at an altitude of 1700 meters, in the afternoon it becomes partly cloudy with wide breaks, provided that it recedes It rains gradually during the night.

Thursday: Partly cloudy, moderate clouds, with a rise in temperatures, local fog on the heights, and the possibility of sporadic drizzle during the morning period. The weather will be stable during the day.

Friday: Partly cloudy with a noticeable rise in temperatures, gradually turning cloudy in the afternoon with high clouds and fog forming on the heights, and scattered rain as of Saturday dawn with snow at an altitude of 2100 meters.

Temperature on the coast from 12 to 26 degrees, above the mountains from 5 to 13 degrees, indoors from 6 to 15 degrees.

Surface winds: active southwesterly, with speeds between 25 and 60 km/hr.

– Sweeping: Very bad, especially at heights, due to fog.

– Relative humidity on the coast: between 65 and 85%.

– Sea condition: rampage, water surface temperature: 18 degrees.

Atmospheric pressure: 758 mm Hg.
