In a related context, the central bank denied its intention to change the design of the ten-pound banknote, explaining that the design of all banknotes circulating in the markets is exactly the same without any change or offering of any new paper currencies.
Central prints “plastic pounds”
On the other hand, sources said, that the central bank will start producing some Egyptian cash categories “the Egyptian pound” in the form of plastic money in 2020 from the bank’s new press in the new administrative capital.
The sources added, in statements to “The Seventh Day”, that the production of the new Egyptian monetary categories will take place with the most recent banknote production lines applied in the world.
