In the first month of the market’s operation, the total area of land plots sold was 5324 hectares, and the amount of transactions was UAH 210 million.
For the first month of full-fledged operation of the land market in Ukraine, the average price per hectare of agricultural land is 40 thousand UAH. This was stated by the Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Roman Leshchenko, informs press service of the department on Friday, July 30.
A month ago, when the land market was launched, they tried to scare you with the massive purchase of land by foreigners, wagons with black soil, which are heading to the East, and agricultural holdings, which will take away your land. During the month of market operation, as I promised, nothing like this happened. The market is working, – said the minister.
According to him, 2901 transactions were signed within 30 days from the start of the land market.
“That is, only one out of every 2000 land owners disposed of it: sold it or donated it,” Leshchenko noted.
He added that in the first month of the market’s operation, the total area of land plots sold in respect of which transactions were registered amounted to 5324 hectares, and the amount of transactions was UAH 210 million.
“For the first month of the land market, the average price per Ukrainian hectare is 40 thousand hryvnia. Most of the land was purchased in Poltava, Ternopil and Kirovograd regions. But the geography of sales is throughout the country,” Leshchenko said.
