This Thursday, the National Security Council, which brings together the Prime Minister, the minister-presidents of the federated entities, the competent ministers as well as experts, met to adapt the system to the evolution of the pandemic, even if the figures are again encouraging in Belgium.
Among the themes discussed this Thursday, the famous “social bubble”. Since the CNS of July 27, families can only see 5 people for a month. But this measure is very restrictive and almost all the experts seemed to agree that it is necessary to review this measure.
This Thursday, Sophie Wilmès announced that the bubble of the five will not be changed. “From September 1 and for a period of one month, the social bubble of five people will therefore remain in force,” said the Prime Minister. “The general rule is the following: each of us can see his family, his friends, all those he wants without ever exceeding 10 people at the same time, but always respecting the safety distances with the people who do not. not part of your home or your bubble. Nevertheless, we know that it is difficult to maintain safe distances at all times from the people to whom we are closest. We want to kiss, to hug. And this is where the five-person bubble comes in. It is therefore indeed five people with whom your household could break the rule of safety distances ”.
