The BMW iX M60 is the first “M” version of the car from the ground up designed as an electric car. It attracts not only riding skills, but also unique soundtrack.

Last year, BMW introduced the iX SUV, which plays the role of its new technological flagship. The large SUV is designed from the ground up as an electric car, which also offered the most modern technology. It debuted in two versions, xDrive40, with an output of 240 kW and batteries with a capacity of 70 kWh, and xDrive50 with an output of 370 kW and a 100 kWh battery. A third derivative has now been added.
It is called M60 and as the name implies, it is a new sports-tuned variant of this model. The parameters correspond to this, as the BMW iX M60 is tuned to a power of 455 kW and a torque of 1,015 Nm, which is supplied by a pair of synchronous electric motors with electric excitation (one for each axle). When the launch control function is switched on, the car even reaches 1,100 Nm
These values mean that the iX M60 can accelerate from 0-100 km / h in 3.8 seconds and drive at a top speed of 250 km / h. This is the fastest electric car from the BMW workshop. The range is up to 566 km according to the WLTP methodology. The usable capacity of the batteries is 105.2 kWh.

However, the newly introduced version is not only about a stronger drive system, but also of course the tuning of other technology. There is also an M-tuned air suspension on both axles with automatic ground clearance control, as well as integrated active steering or a sports brake system.
The specialty is also carefully tuned aerodynamics, which in Sport mode reaches a coefficient of aerodynamic coefficient of 0.26. In addition, BMW promises a unique soundtrack, which was matched by the creative director for sound at the BMW Group, Renzo Vitale, with the famous film music composer Hans Zimmer.
The BMW iX M60 is introduced to the world for the first time at the ongoing CES consumer electronics trade fair in Las Vegas. This is the second BMW electric car with the “M” version, after i4 M50. At the same time, it is the first “eMko” created exclusively as an electric car, as the i4 shares technology with the 4 series available with internal combustion engines. The car will be launched on world markets in June, and its production will be taken care of by the Dingolfing plant, as well as other derivatives of this model.
