Jeremiah St. Juste showed himself, for the first time, to Sporting fans in Braga, officially debuting for the lion after having played just 45 minutes in pre-season, right in the first friendly match, on July 29, against team B.
The Dutch centre-back contracted a traumatic sprain in his right ankle, while still at the club’s Academy, in Alcochete, before his internship in the Algarve, where he ended up going to adapt to the work group, although without any minute of use.
In Braga, however, and at game time, St. Juste was launched by Rúben Amorim, replacing Nuno Santos, with Matheus Reis drifting to the side and Gonçalo Inácio to the left of the trio of centre-backs, allowing the Dutchman to occupy the position where he feels most comfortable, on the right.
Despite still needing to regain competitive momentum, St. Juste is at 100 percent and therefore ready to discuss a place at the center of the Leon defense.
