Real Madrid celebrated, this Sunday, the conquest of the 14th Champions League. The merengue emblem, remember, beat Liverpool (1-0), at the Stade de France, and ascended to the highest throne of the Champions League.
As usual, the merengue party took place at Praça Cibeles and had Marcelo the big star. The 34-year-old left-back said goodbye to the club where he arrived in 2006 and did not hide his emotion.
“It is a wonderful moment in my life. I close the cycle at the best club in the world and this is not a day of sadness, but of great joy because we won, once again, the best competition in the world. I am very proud of myself and my family is too. We had many magical nights together and let me tell you: the future of Real Madrid is assured with these youngsters”, said the Brazilian international.
