THE BALL – Four goals in seven minutes make Palmeiras even more leader (Brazil)

Palmeiras received and beat Atlético Goianiense (4-2), in the 12th round of the Brazilian championship. It was the third consecutive victory of the emblem commanded by Abel Ferreira.

The match even started well for the visitors, with Churin (29′) putting Atlético Goianiense ahead. However, Zé Rafael (42′) started a turnaround in the verdão which was completed in seven minutes with goals from Gustavo Gómez (44′ and 45+4′) and Gustavo Scarpa (45′). Churin (79′) still scored twice for the Goiânia emblem, which was reduced to 10 with the expulsion of Arthur Henrique (74′), but did not avoid the defeat.

With this result, Palmeiras remains in the first place with 25 points, three more than Corinthians de Vítor Pereira (tied with Athletico Paranaense). Atlético Goianiense is in 17th place with 13 points, one behind Goiás, the first team above the relegation zone.
