The Alameda Theater in Seville raises the curtain again with the play «Lù»

Children’s and family programming returns to the stage of the Alameda Theater of the Institute of Culture and the Arts (ICAS) of the Seville City Council. This Thursday the 30th edition of the cycle “The Theater and the School” is resumed to continue offering the best of the performing arts for schoolchildren and familiesThe first proposal of the year is the work «Lù», recognized with the Best Show Award at FETEN 2020 and with the Best Family Show Award at Mostra Alcoi 2019.

The Valencian company Strawberry will be the first to go on stage at various school functions (this Thursday and Friday) and family (this Saturday). «Lù» is a magical, creative and poetic show that combines dance, wit and audiovisual to emphasize the power of imagination as a way to escape from the harshness of life. The company celebrates its 15 years on the boards showing the history of its protagonists, who work in the fields, through an intimate montage loaded with poetic images and feelings.

Until March the cycle “The Theater and the School” program at the Alameda Theater a total of 16 shows, of which 10 will take place during the second school term. In the coming months, theater, music, circus, clown, puppet shows… will occupy its tables, which will host a total of 35 performances. On this occasion, and due to the current health context, family functions have been scheduled mainly, generally with two or three functions every weekend between this Thursday and March 26.

Thus, after «Lù», you will pass by the Alameda Theater «Órbita », by the Granada company Zen del Sur (January 21, 22 and 23). Awarded as Best Hall Show at the 2020 Castilla y León Theater Fair, the artists Carlos López and Noemí Pareja interact through movement, circus elements and live music in this show. “Under the roof” is the proposal of the people from Malaga Pata Teatro, which will disembark in the cycle on January 30 and 31 with this work that received the Award for Best Authorship at FETEN 2020 and the Ateneo 2018 Award for Best Children’s Show. Already in February, on the 6th and 7th, it will be the turn of “Alicia”, by Teloncillo, a company that received the National Award for Performing Arts for Children and Youth in 2013. The company will follow Teatro Paraíso with «Úniko», and Bambalúa Teatro with «Pi-ra-tas Garbage alert, let’s save the sea!.
