At least that’s what a statement from PlayStation boss Jim Ryan suggests, which was published on the PlayStation blog. “We believe it is important to do our part to address Internet stability concerns as an unprecedented number of people practice social distancing and are increasingly dependent on Internet access,” it said.

Slower downloads

Sony is now working with European Internet service providers to solve the problem. “Players may experience slightly slower or delayed game downloads, but will still enjoy robust gameplay. We appreciate the support and understanding of our community and their contribution as we take measures to ensure access for everyone,” said Ryan .
