Teenager stabbed to death, another man stabbed in New Years bloodbath

A murder investigation has been launched after a teenager was killed after a double stabbing in the early hours of New Years Eve.

Officers were called to report that an 18-year-old man was stabbed in a scuffle at a house in Walshs Manor, Stantonbury, Milton Keynes at 2:54 a.m. this morning.

He was taken to Milton Keynes University Hospital, where he died of his injuries.

A second person, a 49-year-old man, was also stabbed in the incident and taken to hospital with serious injuries, where he currently remains in stable condition.

Relatives of the deceased man have been informed and are being supported by specially trained agents, but the victim has not yet been officially identified.

A 21-year-old man from Milton Keynes has been arrested for murder and remains in custody.

Senior Detective Inspector Andy Howard, Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “First and foremost, our thoughts are with the family of the man who sadly passed away as a result. of this incident.

“Our officers were called to report an altercation at a property in Walshs Mansion just before 3 a.m. and upon arrival discovered that an 18 year old man had suffered fatal injuries as a result of the incident. .

“Tragically, he passed away, despite the best efforts of medical professionals at the scene and at Milton Keynes University Hospital.

“We made an arrest, and I want to reassure the local community that, while this naturally raises significant concerns, at this early stage of our investigation it is not believed to be a random attack and that the victim and the perpetrator were known to each other.

“We have put in place site surveillance at Walshs Manor, which is well contained, and you will see an increased police presence in the area as our officers continue this investigation.
