Teen thieves rob 12 phone stores in one month – Telemundo New York (47)

NEW YORK – NYPD say three teens are behind a series of robberies that took place at phone shops throughout three different boroughs of the Big Apple.

From mid-September to mid-October, police say three teens robbed at least 12 different Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile phone stores.

The first reported robbery occurred on September 11 and the most recent incident on October 13, police said. They allegedly attacked stores in Queens, Brooklyn and the Bronx, according to police reports.

Among the items reported stolen, authorities say the thieves took at least seven Apple watches, 14 iPhones and a Samsung Galaxy phone.

Police estimate the value of the stolen property to total more than $ 16,000.

Police estimate that each of the thieves involved in the robbery series is between 16 and 18 years old.

Surveillance footage of the three teens was released with video over the weekend. Police say the investigation is ongoing.
