Teddy Minahasa Allegedly Had Reminded Dody Prawiranegara About Singgalang 1, What Does It Mean?

TEMPO.CO, Jakarta – Linguist Krisanjaya gave an opinion on the meaning of ‘Singgalang 1’ in the indictment of Adjunct Senior Commissioner of Police Dody Prawiranegara. Inspector General Teddy Minahasa Putra is said to have said this to the former Bukittinggi Police Chief during dinner at the Santika Hotel Bukittinggi on May 20, 2022.

“Singgalang 1, in my analysis there, is cipher in nature, known by the parties when communicating,” said Krisanjaya to the Panel of Judges at the West Jakarta District Court, Thursday, March 2, 2023.

According to Dody’s indictment, Teddy asked his aide named Arif Hadi Prabowo to contact Dody. The two-star general asked Dody to go to Teddy’s room on the eighth floor and reminded him to set aside 10 kilograms of methamphetamine for undercover operations and member bonuses.

Dody replied that he did not dare to order it. But he will try because he has been asked.

According to Krisanjaya, remembering the code is also an order. “If that is also an order not to forget,” he said.

Teddy Minahasa denies mentioning Singgalang 1 to Dody

Teddy Minahasa confirmed that the password was for him, who at that time was the West Sumatra Regional Police Chief. However, he denied ever saying Singgalang 1 to Dody while at the Santika Hotel.

That night, said Teddy, it was Dody who asked to go into the room to give him a bracelet. The object is said to have been obtained when Dody prostrated himself in his midnight prayer.

“Our meeting lasted no more than five minutes because Dody only gave me a bracelet,” said Teddy Minahasa yesterday in court.

Currently, the two are accused of the distribution of five kilograms of methamphetamine from the Bukittinggi Police Headquarters, West Sumatra. This amount is different from the 41.4 kilograms of methamphetamine confiscated by the Bukittinggi Police in May 2022.
