The Chiquito Theater begins this weekend with the play “El Principito”, by the Teatro Bálsamo group, from Puerto Plata.
The 13th edition of this stage show organized and presented by Teatro Guloya, with the purpose of providing healthy entertainment and bringing the family closer, will have Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 at 4:00 in the afternoon, at its headquarters in the Colonial city.
The piece, an adaptation by Joheves García of the classic by Antoine de Saint-Exupéry, is directed by Arisleyda Beard, tells that there was once a little prince who lived on a planet barely bigger than him. He was in need of a friend. The play is performed by Arisleyda Beard, Rachatel Castillo, Francesca Reynoso.
The Teatro Chiquito 2021 season will continue on the 10th and 11th with the play “Los Sueños de Lorca”, by the group Teatro de Títeres Tureyro. The group Becrea Producciones presents on the 17th and 18th its work “The star blower”; on the 24th and 25th the Teatro Utopía group comes from Santiago with their play “La caracola de Amín”; On July 31st and August 1st, the Sonrisitas Theater group will perform, with its play «Tales of water, earth and sun».
In August, on the 7th and 8th, the Piedepuente Theater group presents “Ajonjolí … when you no longer imagine me”; on the 14th and 15th, the Teatro Arcano group presents “El Secreto de Kawasai”, and the season ends on the 21st and 22nd with the play “Guanín and his magic bag”, presented by Teatro Guloya.
As reported, Guloya has prepared a safe room and to guarantee social distancing, has limited the seating capacity to only 50 people.
