He appropriated a parking space for a taxi in Erzsébetváros, and now proceedings are being initiated against him, it says Rtl.hu.
In the past few days, photos showing a taxi driver’s gradual occupation of space have appeared on several social media platforms. First, he only occupied the parking lot, then he put up a “no waiting” sign, and then he also ran electricity through the sidewalk with a cable duct. He tried to permanently usurp the installation by painting the parking space green.
The district police managed to identify the owner of the car, but so far they have not been able to contact him, the Erzsébetváros press department told Rtl.hu. Even so, proceedings have been initiated against him, and he may receive a warning or a fine.
It turned out that they wanted to charge a car with a cable duct solution laid on the sidewalk, similar to what happened in Dohány Street. The district press department noted that there is no reason for these violations, VII. there are designated parking lots for charging electric cars in the district. In addition, running the cables through the sidewalk is dangerous.
On to the story Főtaxi also responded: according to them, the car in question has not occupied the area and has a waiting permit. In their announcement, they write that Taxis “has an official general assembly resolution” to install the socket, and the cable used for this is not a fire hazard either – although they did not specify which assembly voted confidence in the outdoor power supply.
“If an irregularity is suspected, the company’s Ethics Committee will investigate the case, and if the irregularity is confirmed, the company will sanction the taxi partner according to the current Business Regulations,” they write.
