Tamaulipas diabetes medicine that will reduce damage will arrive

In order to deal with the more than 12 million cases of diabetes in Mexico, the market for the injected drug that reduces sugar rates and cardiovascular and renal complications is contemplated for this March 9.

Rafael Velante Ortiz Endocrinologist of the IMSS, announced that after concluding a thorough review in laboratories of Mexico on the drug against diabetes, next March 9 is contemplated to be put on the market so that it can be acquired by the population.

The interviewee stressed that the injected medication contains a molecule that belongs to the GLP-1 family that allows the patient to fill very easily and control diabetes more efficiently, in addition to reducing by 20 and 30 percent less heart attacks, embolisms, as well such as cardiovascular and renal complications.

Velante Ortiz added that it is contemplated that the drug can be used by any person suffering from the disease as long as their doctor authorizes it since it is contemplated at the beginning is a complement to other therapies to control diabetes.

For the endocrinologist the only bad thing is that the drug will cost up to 2,500 pesos, so it is ruled out that it can be acquired by any patient and much less be supplied in Social Security.
