Taliban Divide Department in Afghanistan

Jakarta

After taking power in Afghanistan, now the Taliban create a government structure in Afghanistan. The Taliban allotted the seat of government.

There are 44 Taliban members appointed to various important positions. This includes the positions of Provincial Governor and Chief of Police in various areas of Afghanistan.

The division of these positions is considered to be an important step to support the Taliban government, which is facing security problems and a growing economy. The 44 people were appointed after the Taliban announced the Afghan government cabinet in September.

Reported Reuters, Monday (8/11), this appointment is called the first round of large-scale appointments. The Taliban government released the latest list of positions for its members on Sunday (7/11) local time.

The following members of the Taliban were appointed:

– Qari Baryal appointed as Governor of Kabul
– Mayor Jan Hamza appointed as Kabul City Police Chief

The previous commander in charge of Kabul’s security, Mawiawi Hamdullah Mukhlis, was killed along with 19 others in a bomb and shooting attack on the military’s largest hospital earlier this month. The attack was carried out by the radical Islamic State-Khorasan (IS-K or ISIS-K) group.

Mukhlis, who is known as a member of the hardline Haqqani network and an officer in the Badri Corps special forces, was called a ‘martyr’ after rushing to the site of the attack on Tuesday (2/11). He is the most senior Taliban figure to be killed since the group took control of Kabul.
