With the Switch, players are obviously entitled to signed exclusives Nintendo, but also many portages titles released on PS4 and Xbox One. Well, as the Japanese console is not as powerful, you should not look at the graphics too closely, but overall, it is very pleasant.
Except that at the end of the year the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X will arrive on the market, and the next multiplatform games will be developed for these machines. So what about the Switch? Could this be the end of the console? Well no, at least not according to Ruud van de Moosdijk, vice-president ofEngine Software who spoke with Nintendo Everything :

–In my opinion, the Nintendo Switch, like the Wii before, exists in its own dimension on the market and will continue to work well even when the PS5 and Xbox Series X are released. As so many times before, Nintendo consoles have their own specificity which does not depend on the fastest processor or the largest memory. That’s why I always smile when I hear someone say that Nintendo is finished.
Engine Software as a reminder, the origin of several Ports on Switch such as Ni no kuni: The Revenge of the Celestial Witch, Into the Breach, The Escapist 2 or Little Nightmares: Complete Edition, titles very well suited to the portable home console. And according to Ruud van de Moosdijk, Nintendo offers ideal development tools for porting titles on Switch, so if the studios are good, we should still be able to use portages in the future.
