Police suspect those missing are believed to be part of potential migrants who carried out a clever ruse to enter Spain. A total of 23 passengers escaped, but 11 of them have been arrested.
The plane was forced to make an emergency landing after one of the passengers appeared to be in a coma, had diabetes, and requested medical attention. While being rushed to the hospital, the male passenger suddenly woke up again and appeared healthy.

The other passengers apparently took this opportunity to escape from the plane and quickly disappeared.
A video circulating on social media, which has since been confirmed to be authentic by police, shows about a dozen people rushing through the plane’s cabin and running across the runway.
Eleven passengers were detained by law enforcement. However, 12 others, including one who accompanied the man who was feigning illness to the hospital, disappeared without a trace.
The man, who faked his illness, was released from hospital and detained on suspicion of violating Spanish immigration laws.
Police believed the entire incident was the result of “improvisation and chance” until they came across a Facebook ad recruiting people for a plot very similar to Friday’s incident.
