Georgia Baker and Alexandra Manly will wear the colors of Team BikeExchange in the next two seasons, the Australian team announced on Monday morning. Concentrated on the track for a few years, the two Australian runners will therefore be back on the road in 2022. Present last summer at the Olympic Games from Tokyo, where she took fifth place in the team pursuit and seventh in the madison, Georgia Baker (27) is very happy to return to a team she briefly dated in 2017.

Georgia Baker: “I can’t wait to take on this new challenge”
“It sounds like a new start to me”, says the 2019 world team pursuit champion. “I can’t wait to work with the girls and have a successful season with them. Honestly, I don’t know what to expect next season. I don’t have a lot of WorldTour experience, but I look forward to taking on this new challenge and learning a lot in order to contribute to the success of the team. I will stay in touch with the track throughout the year and hope to compete in the Commonwealth Games (July 29-August 7, 2022, editor’s note), but the road will be a priority for me this year. “
Alexandra Manly: “I will stay in touch with the track, but it will no longer be my priority”
Double world champion on the track in 2019 (team pursuit and points race), Alexandra Manly (25 years old) – who ran for the Team BikeExchange, which then had another name – between 2015 and 2019 – has much more experience than Georgia Baker on the road. “It’s really special to come back to GREENEDGE Cycling. My priority will now be the road. I already have a lot of friends in the team and I feel happy to be back in the team that helped me to develop over the years.
