NEW YORK – Police are looking for a suspect in robbing a robotic vacuum cleaner from a Bed, Bath & Beyond in downtown Manhattan last week.
The suspect, who was wearing a construction helmet, was caught trying to leave the store located in Avenue of the Americas vacuuming without paying shortly before 9:30 pm Wednesday, police said.
A loss prevention officer saw the attempted theft and asked for proof of purchase, at which point New York City Police noted that the alleged thief showed a knife and left.
The total value of the stolen merchandise is around $ 1,100.
