Shoigu said that the Russian Federation is monitoring the statements of the leaders of individual NATO countries about their intention to supply aircraft and air defense systems to Ukraine.

Russia will “react adequately” if the plans of a number of NATO countries to supply combat aircraft and air defense systems to Ukraine are realized. This was stated by Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu at a conference call, writes RIA Novosti.

“We are following the statements of the leaders of individual NATO countries about their intention to supply aircraft and air defense systems to Ukraine. If they are implemented, we will adequately respond,” Shoigu said.

Earlier it was reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky calls on international partners to provide Ukraine with the necessary tanks and planes because Ukrainian defenders “cannot shoot down Russian missiles with machine guns and shotguns.”

Recall that British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said after the NATO summit in Brussels that Western allies are working to build up lethal military assistance to Ukraine to protect against Russian invasion. According to him, this additional assistance is likely to will not apply to tanks and aircraft
