PRIVATE NEWS – Starting Monday, November 1, 2021 WhatsApp no longer support device Android.

As a result of the update, affected users will lose all chats if they have not been backed up and exported.

WhatsApp also recommend switching to a supported device to continue using the instant messaging service.

Running device Android 4.1 or later is included in the list of devices supported by the app.

WhatsApp also supports operating system iOS and the new KaiOS. Through the updated FAQ page, WhatsApp announced on Monday that they will no longer support Android 4.0.4 and earlier phones.

Affected users are advised to switch to a supported device and save their chat history before the deadline.
