“StarDance 2023: Famous Personalities Paired with Professional Dancers, Including Married Couples and a Confectioner”

The television is planning to announce the pairing of famous personalities with professional dancers in June. Until then, neither the participants will know the division. Moderators Tereza Kostková and Marek Eben announced it at the press conference.

“We also always find out about everything too late. For example, when Marie Doležalová and Marek Zelinka got together years ago, I was also the last to know,” recalled Marek Eben.

This year brings some “firsts”. In 2021, for example, parish priest Martina Viktorie Kopecká performed in the show for the first time, this year a confectioner will participate again. The twelfth year will also bring the participation of a married couple for the first time.

Snowboarder Eva and actor Marek Adamczyk confirmed their participation even before the wedding. They are said to have already trained on their merry-go-round. “I think that we practiced the most at that wedding. We danced a lot there and it was a lot of fun,” Marek Adamczyk told Novinkám.

“But that’s not this style. We rode a big freestyle there,” added Eva Adamczyková. She reminded that she has experience with dance thanks to a small performance that she trained in the past with Jan Onder, who also performed in StarDance. “That was about eight, nine years ago at the announcement of the athlete of the year. It was such a “fifteen thirds”. We had about 3 training sessions for that. However, I have no other experience with ballroom dancing,” said the athlete.

Adamczyk graduated from DAMU, but according to him, he forgot a lot of it. But he added that he hopes to be able to use some of his work experience: “Everyone who has experienced it, whom I have spoken to, says that it is difficult. And when I imagine how hard it is, I have to imagine it twice as hard.”

“I’m curious about the broadcasts. I think Marek is more used to these things. He does his shows live in front of an audience, and I don’t. It’s going to be hard for me not to be nervous,” Adamczyk said.

From October, the audience will also see the actress Ivana Chýlková on the dance floor. According to moderator Mark Eben, her participation was already mentioned in the past, which she refused.

“In the past, participation in StarDance was not offered to me, nor to my husband. At the same time, he is an excellent dancer,” the actress told Novinka. She added that her partner, moderator Jan Kraus, otherwise supported her participation.

“I said at first that I wouldn’t go into it. But they me (i syn – pozn. red.) persuaded. There was a lot of pressure. After that pressure, I said yes,” Chýlková added.

Now the actress is determined and is said to be looking forward to the competition: “They should have called ten, fifteen years earlier. When a person is younger, when they have more power. When it’s simply more powerful,” she told Novinka.

She says she doesn’t dance and can’t dance, so the competition will be a real challenge for her. As a viewer, however, the actress likes more expressive dances.

“Perhaps paso doble, tango, just when it has some drive. What always bores me a little is the waltz, the waltz. I miss the dynamism there,” she explained. And even though the choice of partner is in the hands of the organizers, he is clear: “There are two dancers here who reach my height, so I really have a limited choice.”

Chylková added that she is a loyal fan of all ranks of the competition. She is said to have appreciated the performance of singer Tereza Černochová in her last year.
