Al-Marsad newspaper: Informed sources said the public investment fund is in talks with Boeing and Airbus for purchase orders for approximately 80 aircraft, which is the first purchase of the new national airline.
Sources indicated that the talks include single-aisle aircraft and larger, wide-body models capable of flying long distances. According to Bloomberg.
Interestingly, the kingdom announced last year that it would launch a second domestic airline alongside Saudi Airlines as part of the “Vision 2030” to make the economy less dependent on oil.
