We are not going to lie to each other, the MacBook Air presented yesterday by Apple had the effect of a little bomb. Between the keyboard that swaps the mechanism ???? for ✂️, 10th generation processors (including a quad-core for the high-end version), an Iris Plus graphics circuit, faster RAM and more storage. We can not say that the manufacturer did things by half.
The icing on the cake: this new MacBook Air is also cheaper: the basic version which was € 1,249 is now € 1,199. With double storage! At a time when Apple tends to increase its prices on its Mac mini and the options, It’s good news. But now, not everyone has such a budget available. This is why a little tour on the side of refurb stands out: Apple is waltzing the price tags for previous generations of MacBook Air.
There is currently no stock, but prices have appeared:
- MacBook Air (2018), 1.6 GHz dual-core Core i5, 128 GB SSD: € 769 ; it’s 210 € less than the previous refurb price!
- MacBook Air (2018), 1.6 GHz dual-core Core i5, 256 GB SSD:€ 829 ;
- MacBook Air (2019), 1.6 GHz dual-core Core i5, 128 GB SSD: € 919 ; the drop compared to the previous refurb price for this model is € 140.
- MacBook Air (2019), 1.6 GHz dual-core Core i5, 256 GB SSD: € 969.
Knowing that the 2019 model brings very few new features (True Tone screen and an improved butterfly keyboard), the 2018 MacBook Air remains a good client for most users. Especially at this price.
