One of the myths: the new type of corona virus can be transmitted via mosquito bites. There are some viruses, such as the Zika virus, which can be transmitted by mosquito bites, but according to the WHO this is not the case with the coronavirus.
The organization writes on its website: “The novel corona virus can NOT be spread by mosquito bites.” So far, there is no information or evidence that the novel coronavirus can be transmitted via mosquitoes. The corona virus is a respiratory virus that is primarily transmitted by droplets.
The WHO also draws attention to the most important measures: To protect yourself, wash your hands frequently with soap and water and avoid close contact with people who sneeze and cough.
