Despite the fact that she was born in Switzerland 24 years ago, she also has Slovak parents, a friend and a fitness trainer in one person.

“We have a wide background in Slovakia. The family from the mother’s side is from Močenka near Nitra, the father’s from Bratislava.
I only speak Slovak with my parents at home and sometimes I even think in Slovak, “said Bencicová according to the website iSport.cz.
Bencicová had her peak of the 2021 season at the end of July at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won a gold medal in singles and silver alongside Viktoria Golubicová in doubles.
“It was an amazing experience for me. I’ve never been as proud of myself as I was after winning Olympic medals. I have a nice place for them at home, they are beautiful memories, “added Bencicová.
In Friday’s quarterfinals in the Ostravar Arena, Anett Kontaveitová lost to Estonia 4: 6, 3: 6.
