“We have a wide background in Slovakia. The family from the mother’s side is from Močenka near Nitra, the father’s from Bratislava.

Bencicová had her peak of the 2021 season at the end of July at the Tokyo Olympics, where she won a gold medal in singles and silver alongside Viktoria Golubicová in doubles.
