Cristiano Ronaldo ready to be a mainstay in Manchester United. Ronaldo made sure that Ole Gunnar Solskjaer could rely on him for whatever he wanted.
Cristiano Ronaldo returned to Manchester United in the transfer market this summer. The Portuguese star was recruited for 15 million euros from Juventus.
This will be Ronaldo’s second term at Old Trafford. He previously played for the Red Devils in 2003-2009.
In his first period, Ronaldo had a team with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer. However, the two only played together 32 times because Solskjaer was often plagued by injuries.
Now Ronaldo and Solskjaer will return to work together at Manchester United with a different status. The 36-year-old made sure Solskjaer could count on him for anything.
“Well, we chatted, but of course I will have time to talk in person, to find out what he expects,” Ronaldo said in an interview with United’s official website.
“As you know, I played with him for two or three years at Manchester United so I had a good relationship with him, but now his role is different. I am a player, he is a coach.”
“But it doesn’t matter, my relationship with him is good and as I said before, I’m in Manchester to help the team get results and the coach can count on me for whatever he wants.”
“I’m ready for everything,” Ronaldo confirmed.
Cristiano Ronaldo likely will only make his second debut at Manchester United in the match against Newcastle United after the international break on 11 September.
