I lost my faith in PGG ROW Rybnik. The club vice president Maciej Kołodziejczyk has already started to convince that this season the team will end without points. I analyzed the first two matches of the Rybnik team and found no reason for optimism. Two and a half competitors went with RM Solar Falubaz Zielona Góra. After the trip to Grudziądz, there could be only one conclusion – this team has several second-line speedway riders and no leader. To this could be added perturbations with juniors and ask, what can come out of it good?

Once again, however, it turned out that the slag begins where logic ends. I have learned more than once that this threadbare slogan really means a lot. I know, My Bermuda Stal Gorzów in crisis, but it looks much better on paper than PGG ROW. And he has world champion Bartosz Zmarzlik. And yet this Steel got lost in Rybnik. If the hosts would still bring the positions won at the start to the finish line, then the victory of the Silesians would be more impressive.

I have already read comments like this will be the first and last PGG ROW win this season. Perhaps, although it is impossible not to notice that time works in favor of the Benjamin. The match against Stal showed, however, that this team has potential. ROW, unlike a year ago eWinner Apator Toruń, is not a club condemned to chase the result after junior runs. It is enough for Mateusz Tudzież to draw conclusions from what happened on Sunday, where at his own request he lost his first position, riding stiffly, defensively. And yet the last word was not said by Kamil Nowacki, whose “three” in the 12th run was crucial. By the way, I wonder how it is that Stal did not give Nowacki a chance and gave him a light handle to Rybnik.

It is worth noting that ROW won with Stal, although he had fewer threes. Here the balance is 10: 5 for guests. Kacper Woryna, Vaclav Milik and Sergei Łogaczow did not win any three. I am not writing this to fish down these gentlemen. Rather, to show how much unused potential there is. Robert Lambert went on to meet the Gorzów team, the rest added as much as needed, but each of them can afford more.

A few days ago, the fans wanted to transport the president Krzysztof Mrozek on a wheelbarrow, because after the promotion he did not assemble his dream composition. He did not even use the last minute opportunity for Jarosław Hampel. The president explained to his supporters at a meeting with them that he had a “snake nature”, that he would not spend more than he had in their pocket. With this approach it is difficult to succeed in sport, but maybe it is worth keeping fingers crossed for Rybnik to succeed. A little like last year Motor Lublin. If everyone had Mrozek’s approach, then we would not have lunar contracts and the arms race, which ultimately translates into the good of speedway here and now, but completely does not care what will happen with the speedway in the future.

In a recent conversation with President Mrozek, I said he should have taken Hampel and Jason Crump. I still think so. However, I respect the president for taking a course and consistently sticking to it, saying he believes in the team he has. Actually, it remains for him to sort out some matters in the locker room, because Mateusz Szczepaniak has already said at least two things that could herald a storm. It’s about “training” (fight for the squad) and “I would go if the trainer determined the squad”. I am not talking about punishing Szczepaniak, but about establishing clear rules.

And Steel has warmth. Play-off is starting to get far away. One more such match and in Gorzów they will be able to start thinking about what to do here to save themselves from relegation. And this is also proof that the slag is perverse.
