Director Zheng Yaqi is the son of Zheng Yuanjie. He said that his father encouraged him to watch various animations when he was a child. When he read the manuscripts written by his father, he felt that his father’s writings were no worse than theirs. He could make them into animations at any time. At that time, he I was seven or eight years old, and now I am in my forties. I have finally fulfilled my childhood wish.
Zheng Yuanjie said that he originally did not want his work to be adapted into a movie for fear of disrespecting the original work.
