A deadly shooting occurred during the early hours of this Saturday, April 6, in the city of Doral, Florida, where at least two people lost their lives and about seven more were injured by the projectiles.
The incident occurred at the CityPlace Doral shopping center around 3:30 am, and involved a security guard and a police officer. The first was one of the deceased, while the officer is one of the seven injured.
According to the police report, it all started at the Martini Bar located in said shopping center, when a security guard tried to intervene in a dispute that broke out in the store.
The situation escalated and one of those involved pulled out a firearm and shot at the guard, causing his almost instant death.

Police responded to the scene almost immediately, so the shooter confronted authorities outside the bar. The officers managed to neutralize the attacker, although one of the police officers and several of those present were injured in the exchange.
Among the injured (two women and four men) there are two people who were reported in critical condition and were taken to intensive care.
A resident of the area told the media Local 10 News who was awakened by the noise of gunshots, which occurred between 3:15 and 3:30 am
“Between 3:15 or 3:30 in the morning I initially heard three gunshots. I didn’t really know where they came from. I thought they were fireworks. Then I heard another 10 or 15, very loud, very fast. “It was very, very scary,” said this person, identified by the media as William Suedois.
After what happened, CityPlace Doral issued a statement expressing its solidarity with the families of the victims, indicating that it was going to implement additional security measures to ensure that this does not happen again.
For now, Florida authorities are carrying out an investigation to clarify all the details of the incident, gathering testimonies and physical evidence.
