Journalist Sami Kleib indicated, in an interview with Spot Shot via Point of View, that “there are politicians who have achieved their fortunes in Lebanon through fraud and fraud.”
Kleib revealed, “Pressures are taking place to settle part of the displaced, and the Germans said they had settled them in order to participate in the economic wheel.”
Regarding the Governor of the Banque du Liban, he explained, “At the recent Paris conference, the Egyptians raised the issue of governance. The French response was violent against Riad Salameh, and the American position also said that it is the last mandate.”
And he continued, “If I were in Salama’s place, I would fear for myself during this period, as there may be someone who has an interest in removing him, and there may be a security fear. If the files are opened wide, we will discover scandals of senior officials.”
Kleib said, “The idea of extension is a contempt for other Lebanese who have high experience in all fields.”
And he stated that “the French raised the issue of imposing sanctions on politicians and political economists. Whoever said no is the Saudi, and the Qatari said, ‘Let us work to lift the sanctions on Basil, while the American responded to that.'”
Kleib added, “The quinquennial meeting spoke of putting forward a third name other than Franjieh and Joseph Aoun. The Egyptians said let’s talk about the specifications of the next president, not to be provocative, and here they said the Saudis, then in this case, no to Franjieh.”
And he added, “The French proposed re-electing Miqati in the next composition. The Saudi response was literally why are you sticking to Miqati, who is part of this system, and which prime minister secures French interests in Lebanon.”
Kleib confirmed that “the Arab international trend towards a settlement on a third name and with Saudi-French meetings leaked two names, Jihad Azour and Naji Al-Bustani.”
He revealed, “Mohammed bin Salman was clear to Miqati that Saudi Arabia will not help the Lebanese state because part of this money will go to Hezbollah, which is fighting us in Yemen.”
Kleib believed that “the greatest danger to Israel is marches and missiles, and they are setting a scenario for an all-out war against Hezbollah. As for the party, going to war this time will not be a joke, and sooner or later there will be a war between the two parties.”
