The new crown pneumonia is still raging around the world. The cumulative number of confirmed cases worldwide has soared to 100 million, causing at least 2.15 million deaths. However, when the epidemic is so severe, a woman who has lived in the United States for many years, in order to return to the mainland smoothly, She even concealed her uncomfortable symptoms, swallowed antipyretics before taking the flight, and finally killed 63 people and was quarantined. She will also face serious consequences.

According to “Beijing Toutiao” report, the woman surnamed Li is a doctoral student who works for a pharmaceutical company in the United States. She developed general fatigue, fever and other symptoms in early March last year, but she did not see any improvement after several medical visits until March 11. On the same day, Li Nu went to the hospital for screening, but before the report came out, she decided to return to Beijing with her family. In order to board the plane smoothly, Li Nu first took anti-fever medicine to lower her body temperature.

The flight took off from Boston, transferred in Los Angeles, and then flew back to Beijing. The flight attendant asked the passengers if they had symptoms of discomfort or related contact history, but Li Nu did not truthfully declare it until it arrived on March 13. In Beijing, she only informed the crew of her condition, and was subsequently sent to a doctor by the epidemic prevention department. After testing, she was diagnosed with the disease. The official also urgently notified 63 contacts for isolation.

The local court made a judgment yesterday (26). The judge believed that Li Nv violated the “Law on Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases”, failed to comply with relevant epidemic prevention measures, and also concealed the condition and contact history, resulting in 63 people being isolated for observation, which constituted an obstacle to the prevention and control of infectious diseases. The crime should be punished; however, the judge considered that after Li Nv came to the case, she truthfully confessed the facts of the crime, and voluntarily pleaded guilty and punished, and finally sentenced to 1 year imprisonment with 1 year probation.
