She refused chemotherapy in order to give birth to her third baby

For some women, the desire to have children is stronger than anything, and they are willing to do anything to achieve it.

Sarah Milner, 30, was diagnosed with cervical cancer when she was 21 weeks pregnant. The doctors were clear with her: she had to start her chemotherapy treatment as soon as possible and for this she would have to interrupt the pregnancy.

Although he already has 2 children, Milner flatly refused to lose the third, preferring to postpone his treatment to ensure the baby’s birth and health.

“I was 21 weeks pregnant and I was diagnosed with first stage cervical cancer, which they described as aggressive. When I heard the diagnosis I couldn’t believe this was really happening to me. It didn’t seem real. I was devastated (…) Due to the aggressive nature of cancer, doctors advised me to terminate my pregnancy. However, he really didn’t want to do that. I wanted to have my baby no matter what, ”Sarah Milner told the Daily Mail.

In April 2020, little Louis was born, and treatments for Sarah began, including the removal of her uterus, ovaries, and some lymph nodes.

His life expectancy was considerably reduced as he waited months to start the treatments. She is already preparing her children for their departure.

“My children, Lily-Grace, who is nine years old, Bobbie, who is seven, and Louis, are going to be without their mother (…) I want to leave special things for the children once I leave. I write them birthday cards for the future and cards for other special occasions like weddings, ”Milner said.
