Kochi ∙ The events leading up to human sacrifice started with the post ‘Approach to Prosperity and Economic Prosperity’ which appeared on Sridevi’s Facebook page. It was posted by Mohammad Shafi through a fake Facebook page called Sridevi.
Chamajun Bhagwal Singh, who pretended to be a girl named Sridevi, sent a friend request and became friends. She gained confidence in a short time. Bhagwal Singh was convinced that it was enough to perform pooja for wealth and that he knew a Siddha. He gave his phone number in the name of Siddhanaya Rasheed.
Shafie disguised himself as Sridevi and explained the results of the spell to Bhagwalsingh via Facebook. Believing this, Bhagwal Singh and his wife invited Rasheed named Shafi to their home for the puja.
When Bhagwal Singh said that he could spend any amount of money to get more results for the puja, Siddhan suggested that human sacrifice was required. Accepting this, the couple entrusted Siddhan with the responsibility of finding time to make the sacrifice.
Rosli, originally from Perumbavoor, was taken to Pathanamthitta in June. He was caught on the promise of money. The daughter filed a police report in August for Rosli’s disappearance, but the investigation did not reach Shafi.
Later, Padma, who lives in Alamkulam, was taken away offering money. On the 27th, the Kadavantra police received a report for Padma’s disappearance. The accused were trapped by the investigation conducted by the Kadawantra police into this complaint.
