The police arrested seven people in Hengelo last night. They are suspected of being involved in the mistreatment of a 43-year-old man from Belgium. The Belgian was taken to the hospital with unknown injuries.
The first report the police received last night was a firearm. That was reason for the police to go for it with bullet-proof vests. No firearm was found, but the injured victim was found, reports RTV East.
Relationship between victim and suspects
The police found the suspects of the abuse a few hundred meters away, in a home and on the street. It concerns two women aged 19 and 25 from Enschede and Rijssen and five men aged 18 and up to 21 from Hengelo and Rijssen.
The police do not want to say anything about a motive for the abuse or about the relationship between the victim and the suspects. “We are investigating that,” said the spokesperson.
