– There was a health worker here in Bodø who became very ill. It was at the end of February, before things started to happen elsewhere in the country, says municipal chief physician Tor Claudi the newspaper.
Claudi says the health worker was not admitted to hospital and did not have a blood clot, but will not give more details about the case.
Norway put vaccination with the AstraZeneca vaccine on hold in early March following reports of a rare disease in some who have received the vaccine. A total of four people who have received the vaccine in Norway have died. Several of them are health workers.
No association has yet been established between the severe cases of blood clots and the vaccine.
