The investigation has already been withdrawn from Dupnitsa to the National Investigation Service due to the complexity of the case and the suspicion that local police officers are involved.
So far, however, there is no trace of Janek.
What happened can only be said by Kaplata, with whom Milanov left on the fateful night of July 31 and no one saw him again. However, he is silent – as taught by the bosses he was guarding – the Galevi Brothers.
At first glance, Kaplata’s motive, if he is to blame for Janek’s disappearance, is ridiculous – a year ago his wife Milanov was a lover of his wife Petya Nikolova. Investigators suggest that it was she who, in order to justify herself to her husband, drowned her ex-lover with fabricated accusations and Kaplanov decided to take revenge. Janek really wanted to have a male conversation with Kaplata, whom he suspected of constantly breaking into his car and without any worries got into his jeep in the evening. No one saw him again.
Petya Nikolova lived in a neighboring block of flats in the Bistritsa district in Dupnitsa and met Milanov, who returned on vacation in the city from France in 2017. They met at Janek’s home without anyone noticing, but Kaplanov still understood. Their relationship ended with the man’s departure, but Petya continued to look for him and write to him.
Someone started smashing his car, even shooting in the window of his apartment. The woman was in love because Milanov was extremely charming, smart and well-read. Petya was briefly detained and interrogated, but her behavior is more than suspicious, forensic scientists say. Kaplata’s son Nikola was also put behind bars after security camera footage accused him of damaging the missing man’s Peugeot. The 20-year-old lived as his father’s heir and left Southwestern University, where he studied law to continue his “business”. Dupnitsa residents say that it was he who dealt with his father’s illegal gas station, which the prosecutor’s office broke down some time ago.
It is no coincidence that Vasil Kaplanov sees in his son a worthy follower.
