Blair faced immediate backlash from social media users, as well as The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), the largest Muslim civil rights organization in the United States. Edward Ahmed Mitchell, a representative from CAIR, criticized Blair for her ignorant and hateful remarks, highlighting that Blair lacks meaningful interactions with the Muslim community.
