‘Pandemic Awareness Walk’ was organized under the leadership of Karaman Provincial Health Directorate. The march, attended by Karaman Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık, started from Atatürk park and ended at Aktekke 15 July Democracy Square. Health, police, gendarmerie and AFAD teams accompanied the march.
“16 PEOPLE DIED”
Governor Mehmet Alpaslan Işık stated that 16 people died in Karaman due to the corona virus. Pointing out that the number of cases also increased after Ramadan Feast, Governor Işık said:
“The number of cases, which was 120 before the holiday, reached 500 after the holiday, and the number of patients who passed away was 16. In a sense, the devoted work and devotion of our healthcare staff has been wasted, and the speed of the disease has not prevented despite this problem. ”
“WE HAVE BEEN GUIDED”
Stating that the reason for the increase in the number of cases is the complacency of the citizens, Governor Işık continued his words as follows:
* Now is the time to go back and make a self-criticism saying where we made a mistake. Our mistake is this; we were compromised, we did not maintain social distance, we did not wear masks, we did not pay attention to hygiene.
* Unless we pay attention to these three, this virus will continue to circulate like a serial killer. However, it is up to us to overcome this. Please do not relax, do not get compromised, we must obey the cleanliness, social distance and wearing a mask. (DHA)
