Warning: Investors Targeted by Fake “Hua Seng Heng” Investment Scheme
The Ministry of Digital Economy and Society (DE) is alerting the public to a surge in online scams, with a fraudulent investment scheme falsely linked to Hua Seng Heng currently topping the list of concerning fake news. The Thailand anti-Fake News Center (AFNC) has identified a scheme advertised through the facebook page “Gold M0dern ShareHolders” promising unusually high daily dividends – between 532 and 5,300 baht – from SET50 shares.
According to monitoring data from October 24th to 30th,2025,the AFNC received over 1 million messages, with 809 requiring verification. Social listening accounted for the vast majority of reported clues (792 messages), followed by reports via Line Official and Facebook.
The DE, acting on the policy of Minister Chaichanok chidchob to combat online threats, coordinated with The Stock Exchange of Thailand (SET) to investigate the claims. The SET has confirmed that the facts is entirely false. The “Gold M0dern ShareHolders” page is not affiliated with, nor authorized by, the SET and is falsely using the association’s name.
Authorities are warning the public to be extremely cautious of online investment opportunities, particularly those promoted through social media. This scam exemplifies tactics commonly used by criminals to defraud investors.
The SET urges anyone with questions or concerns to contact their Contact Center at 0 2009 9999.
This warning is part of a broader effort to raise public awareness about the dangers of online crimes, fake news, and disinformation, protecting personal information, property, and societal well-being. The AFNC continues to monitor and investigate reports of fraudulent activity, emphasizing the importance of verifying information before acting on it.
